- Close Popup Mesa,
We see colors. Black lives still matter! ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻 Yesterday we did a coloring session with Mesa using @crayola new Colors of the World crayons. He helped us pick the closest possible color that match his doll friends William and Celia skin tone. They’re Black and Brown 🖤🤎 PSA: Crayola created a new crayon pack with colors that range from Light Golden, Deep Almond and Medium Deep Rose. Such a beautiful inclusive skin tone palette. I wish I had this when I was young. Good thing is it’s only $1.xx so mama won’t gone nuts when littles breaking them into pieces 😅 I know you can relate!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL🏫 “Draw a self portrait” #TrueSelfie When I was a kid, I would use the color “yellow” to draw and color for my Asian skin, never found my actual skin color. Now, @Crayola has a new line of 24 specially formulated global skin tone crayons: Colors of the World! I’m glad they have designed this to mirror and support today’s increasingly diverse world and promote the importance of inclusion and self-expression. Here’s Izzy working on her self portrait (minus the blue nose and mouth), and she used the color “very light golden” to match her skin color. Now what should we do for the rest of “first day of school”?

Can you tell she loves her freckles?⠀ ⠀ How amazing is this @crayola Colors of the World pack? We had so much fun picking just the right colors for her skin, eyes, hair and of course all those freckles! She actually learned that 4 of the colors made the perfect blend to her super unique hair color. ⠀ ⠀ Crayola Colors of the World 32 pack of crayons will enable kids with the power to accurately color themselves and the world around them using realistic color names such as Light Golden, Deep Almond and Medium Deep Rose – all to help kids easily find the shade they identify as their own. We’ve always tried to discuss diversity and inclusion to Sophie since a young age and relate it to how her red hair makes her special just like everyone’s differences make them special and unique too. ⠀ I love having them all in one place making it easier for Sophie to draw her whole family and friends and all of their defining features - just like her and her freckles ☺️ ⠀

We absolutely LOVE the Colors of the World range of crayons from @crayola For a long time the children have been mixing colors to get the skin tone right. Now with the C of the world crayons they’ve got a wide range at their fingertips to represent cultural diversity and be more inclusive. This is my youngest’s #trueselfie

Enjoying the flavors of life in my various roles. Love cooking for the family as much I love working on my assays in the lab. Firm believer of 'Estrogen power' and that each one of us are beautiful the way we are!

Hey, y'all! If you know me, you know I love being black and it's important that I teach my children to love their beautiful skin tones as well. However, as a child I remember sometimes feeling inferior, and as though the world just wasn't built for me. Especially when it was time to draw a picture of myself and I either had to use the blackity black crayon or the brown crayon. There was little inclusivity. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So I'm excited to introduce to y'all @Crayola Colors of the World! The new Crayola Colors of the World skin tone crayons help to advance inclusion within creativity. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ They didn't just create 24 shades of browns and tans. Crayola worked with individuals from cosmetic brands to create a wide range of crayons that represent skin tones from light to deep across rose, almond, and golden undertones. 😍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm honestly in love and it was so much fun to find our unique shades and explain to the kids that although we are from the same family, we are different shades. And that is beautiful! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here are the crayons that matched our skin tones. Check the link in my bio for your own box! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ivoray - Extra Deep Rose Me- Medium Deep Golden Jellybean- Medium Deep Almond Chunk- Deep Golden
